Okay so here's the dealio yo...
My drivers door was sagging. It wasn't too bad but it was bad enough to annoy me.
The whole deal is pretty easy and self explanatory but I think it still deserves a write up (and rep ).
I'll let the pictures tell most of the sotry but basically what you have to do is remove the hinges and drill the holes for the hinge pins larger than before and fab up a pin to fit said hole. The pin I bought was just from a auto supply shop for a GM truck, nothing special. I used a drill press, hack saw, and a file to fab the pin. Check it:

After all that just put it back together. You will have to adjust the positioning of the door because that pin is larger it will stick out farther so just push it back when tightening the bolts up.

You can get really really cheap one ebay in case you didn't know. Although, part of the point of this repair was that when you buy used hinges you are getting just that and with this setup you are getting basically brand new hinges.

No I didn't have to take it off... you could if you want to but you don't really have to. Here's a pic:

I sprayed 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of black to prevent more rust.

I figured that there were some interchangeable parts but this worked just fine.

You don't even know how nice that is! I still slam it a little bit though but just because I am still getting used to not having to.

When I found my drivers and passenger doors to be sagging I just adjusted the bolts... I'm not sure why you wouldn't. Loosen the hinges with a jack under (padded with a towel) the far end of the door jack it up slightly, tighten. Repeat until you get the stricker perfectly positioned in relation to the door.

btw, our doors are damn heavy...

this is a good idea... but couldn't you put some shims (or washers or something) under the lower hinge? that would raise the door too, and no drill press or anything else required
