Any idea if they or anyone else has the windshield moulding?

I need one badly.

The website only shows door and trunk seals.
You need to contact the guys who are running this group buy.
I normal answer these questions since I have done this in all my group buys but this one is not mine.

So go to the first post and contact the ones who are running this.

I suggested they focus on front and rear winshield/window as the next ones, but I do not know which ones they will decide to do next
Any word on these? Is there a specific contact at the company?
Thanks for working on this!

This is exactly what I've been needing so badly, this is awesome! Just placed my order.

Any plans to get us the roof moldings too? Or anyone know a source? I've been trolling ebay forever for a decent set but new would be amazing.
Spray can Truck bed coating works great to rehab roof mouldings, is sun resistant, and lasts years.

I sent them one as an exemplar. Metro is trying out the pre-sale of the door and trunk seals to see if there is enough interest in them doing a production run of these easier parts to manufacture. I also need a windshield molding -- it is a bit crumpled from removing and reinstalling the windshield in connection with a re-spray and windshield replacement.

@Greg94-S-M/T -- I just got an update on the door and trunk seals this morning. The trunk seals should be ready for test fitment this month; the rep with whom I have been dealing (Troy Dorn) has indicated that the engineering department is tooling the door seals and they should be ready for fitment in October. I have asked that if all goes well from their persopective that they consider the front windshield molding for their next item.

Well alright, movement. That is a good thing.

So they are focusing on just the rubber at this time, not the trim?
Yea -- forwardcmovement is a good thing. I think it was more a choice on their part based on larger weatherstripping with less reverse engineering than the trim with metal in order to gauge interest before addressing the harder to manufacture pieces, but I could be wrong on their thought process. I really need the front windshield trim, so I will put my vote in on that whether they ask me or not if they decide to go forward and make additional pieces.

Did you reuse the old plastic retainers for the windshield trim? My windshield person wants new stuff to put in a windshield.

@Greg94-S-M/T - at this moment, I have my original moulding reinstalled on my windshield with the original clips. It is a little crumpled and I am looking for a replacement. I have not yet found an oem or oem-look replacement with the metal strips.
I know someone in the FaceBook Prelude groups who has 3d printed the clips for the rear window's bottom strip.

The windshield installer I had was ok with using a new inside weather strip and reinstalling the original on the outside using my original clips.

I did edit the top post to show the companys website with the prices off of their site.
The link is provided.

I am not sure why there is no response to this thread from -

or
Tommy Wayne

They should be responding to the thread hopefully soon.
Thank you Sean! Latest update -- the trunk seals are currently being test-fitted and should be going into production soon. Next, will be the test fitting for the inner and outer door seals.

If you are a member of FaceBook HONDA PRELUDE group, Sebastian Wehner has some for 4th gens that he is selling
Isn't is the same one being offered by Metro here? At least that was my belief when I paid my deposit....
🤦‍♂️

Info for all 4th gen owners -- Tommy Wayne and I have been working with Metro Moulded Parts in **** Rapids, MN to reverse-enginee the weatherstripping and seals for 4th gen Preludes. This is just a heads up --- thanks to Brandon Kirkwold who took his 4th gen over to meet with the account rep and engineer at Metro and to Gary Prelude Mejia and Finn McMurdie from whom I obtained door & trunk seal examples -- the account rep has informed me and Tommy Wayne that they will be posting a pre-sale of the inner and outer door seals and trunk seals very soon. I will let you know when that happens.

I have a full set of door and trunk seals for a 91 model. If I sent them the seals they could make new ones? Or would they need a car to help model new ones?

Greg its more than just a random person sending in some samples.
Its all about demand, we need a minimum number of orders for them to make it.

They will be making moulds which are expensive and they have to store the moulds when there are no more orders.
Businesses do not hold on to infrastructure investments too long if it makes them no more money.
