Hey, just picked up an 88 prelude si the other day, and there is a coolant leak i cant find. Im pretty new to little car mechanics, but i squeezed the radiator hoses that were visible, and checked them for leaks and im good, but i was wonddering if there is something on the back of the block that could be leaking that would be an easy fix??

the water pump and pipe run behind the engine underneath the intake. there are a few little hoses back there. water pump could be leaking slowly or the pipe could be rusting out. best bet is to clean the engine bay and then check to see where the leak is coming from a little more closely.

On the back of the engine block is the tube that comes from the waterpump. Attached to that is the oil cooler (2 tubes that run into the cooler that the oil filter thread to), 1 or 2 other coolant lines to the intake, a heater hose connection, and lower radiator hose that connects to the end of the pipe. There are lines that connect to the throttle body (some people disconnect) that you should check too. Sometimes those oil coolers leak if the hoses dry rotted.
