Hello. I'm almost finished with my engine rebuild. Unfortunately, the coolant lines connecting the main coolant passage to the oil cooler were a pain in the ass to get on. I managed to barely get a hose clamp onto one of them, but I couldn't get the clamp onto the other one. I'm not worried too...

Hey guys i have a H22a4 engine(180km) and headgasket has been replaced and machined. But is still leaking oil around the block and head after the repair. Compression is good all cylinders No coolant lost or white smoke or mikshake Everything torque to specs, new head bolts I need some advice...

Hello, after a few weeks and a trip or two to the dealer, I've determined I'm no good at diagnosing an oil leak. I resealed my oil pan gasket and inspected my oil filter adapter o-ring and I still can't figure out why all my oil is leaking out. If I let the car sit for a day or two, I'll come...

Is it a common occurrence for the front trunk gutter corners (closer to the front bumper) to rust out? Secondly is there a lip on the gutter that protrudes upwards? And does anyone know of a source for new trunk weather-stripping/seals?

So over the last few months I replaced my clutch and while doing so I noticed oil all over the bottom of my car and the dipstick was dry so I filled her up with oil (or so I thought) and I ordered RTV to reseal the oil pan gasket, I resealed it. I did an oil change with a new filter and drove it...

Something I should say first, I live in Northern Canada so I run a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. So today as I got home I noticed a pool of liquid under the car, passenger side in behind the tire. Checked it, water. It wasn’t green and does smell like coolant, definitely water. I also checked...

Hello! I have had my fantastic 5th gen for close to a year now and have loved it dearly. However, since I got it I've had some persistent leaks in the trunk. I've looked at every thread I can possibly find anywhere about leaky prelude trunks, I promise it's not like any I could find a...

My 87 2.0 SI has an idle speed problem. It can be a little difficult to start, but once it does, it idles around 2500. Once heated up, that idle increases to roughly 3000 rpm. The fast idle valve (the valve on the TB closest to the firewall that you access by removing 2 philips head screws)...

First of all, I just want to respond to everyone who has ever called this easy with a strong "SCREW YOU". I would gladly change a head gasket or install a full exhaust(with seized and rusty bolts too) than do this crap again. But I mean, different people are good at different things. These...

I bought a 98 prelude a few months ago. I noticed an oil leak that is dripping a couple drops of oil over night from the passenger side of the block, I have done my research and have changed my vtech solenoid gasket, cam cap seal (after market one) and my distributor o ring. My valve cover is...

I've had this thing for a few weeks now. It's a 2010 C350 Sport. Unfortunately it was time for something more reliable and in better condition. Last October the balance shaft seal blew out on my Prelude at highway speed. It emptied all the oil within seconds and destroyed my cylinder...

Hey guys, recently in the last two weeks my car has been losing about two quarts of oil a week. The underside by the transmission is pretty well coated with oil but you can't see anything visibly through the engine bay. Did a compression test today and the results were: Cylinder 1 - 180 Cylinder...

My car started running pretty rich about a few weeks ago. I commute to and from school and work with an average of around 50 miles a day, and a full tank would last me from Sunday til Friday without even red-lining. So about 300 miles a tank, mostly city. Now I get barely 200 miles a tank :/...

Hey, just picked up an 88 prelude si the other day, and there is a coolant leak i cant find. Im pretty new to little car mechanics, but i squeezed the radiator hoses that were visible, and checked them for leaks and im good, but i was wonddering if there is something on the back of the block...

hey guys, so like 15'000 km ago i attempted to rebuild my B21a1 in highschool, didnt do any re-sleeving or anything just new gaskets and piston rings etc. dont think it did anything. waist of money but good experience. anyway, my lude yet again is causing me trouble....i've had bad alternators...

I believe I have a leak in my PS hose, but I'm not quite sure how to fix it and/or what part I would need. As seen in the picture, I've circled the area that I think is leaking. Update: Now It's possible that the pump is leaking, not the pictured hose..but it's not conclusive. Here is a link...

okay so im sorry in advance for any stupid questions or inexperience, im slowly learning the basic mechanics of my car. So I had my car jacked up on the front driver side while I was switching out my brake pads and noticed a leak coming out of the steering rack. The leak seemed to look almost...

The car in question is a 91 SI (b21) I just got her today. The PO claims to have rebuilt it himself (has receipts to back that up) And there is supposedly under 200 miles on this motor. So, I've been driving it nicely (under 50% throttle, not over 3.5k to the best of my ability) So, once home I...

I needed to do this, and thought why not make a write up too! First remove valve cover per Jlude's valve adjustment write up. Plus you might as well do it while your in there. Im going to go out on a limb here and assume Jlude doesnt mind...
