I Recently cleaned out the engine compartment of my 1990 Si and messed up my throttle position sensor.
When I drove it around shortly afterwards, the acceleration was cutting in an out occasionally, and I had to pump the gas (or press it down almost all the way) to get the engine to pick back up again. In light of this, I went a few days without driving it (though it is still stable 95% of the time) and recently tested the TPS for electrical issues.
The test showed that the current from the power to the ground would drop to 0 at some random point when the throttle was pushed partially down (should be increasing the voltage reading steadily as the throttle opens up and decreasing the same on the way down).
At this point I've come to a fork, where I could either replace the sensor (where can I even FIND a replacement) or try to fix it myself. I am inexperienced with cars and specifically throttles/throttle bodies (this is my first car/project car), but I would love to get some advice on how to tackle this issue from here on out!
