Hey All,
My ride has read full consistently when i check the dip stick.
I changed the oil today and it only took about 2.5L of oil and i did replace the oil filter. I really don't understand why this engine is taking so little.
Please get back to me asap and help me out. I'm really wondering what the measurements of the dipstick should be on this engine. Anybody have the dip stick measured so that i can compare? It would be greatly appreciated.

yeah, i've changed oil all my life.
Drained the pan thoroughly
Removed and replaced the filter
Refill
Start the engine and run for a little while.
Check the level and its reading full after 2.5L's..what the fuck?
I do wipe the dip stick each time i check the level.

I still can't understand why this fucking engine takes so little oil?
I would be pushing it if i said i've filled 3 Litres of oil in it. The stick reads full. I wonder if the dipstick is the wrong size? Does anyone have the measurements (specific please anyone) of the stick? I don't want to fuck this engine up stupidly. I need you fellow luders to help me here please...i've counted on you all before.

Thanks again!

I'm really fucking pissed that this is happening right now.
Does anybody know of any other possibilities that may have caused this?
How much could i have harmed my engine driving like this?
I drove the car for 2 or 3 months with that kind of oil in it.
My driving is all highway. Is it possible at all that this engine may take less?

If anyone here has a stock air intake system, there should be a sticker that states the oil capacity. Because I tore all that black shit out when I put my CAI in, the sticker and info (like 12000km change intervals) are gone too.

If I recall correctly, it stated 3.6L or 3.8qt with a filter change. You may want to try taking your oil pan off and cleaning it; if there is an ungodly amount of sludge you may have a full liter of solid goop just sitting. But then you've got bigger problems anyway.

When I change my oil, I put a full 4 quarts (3.78L) in and it reads exactly at the center of the upper mark on the dipstick. My dipstick is exactly 12 and 1/16 inches from the bottom of the gasket to the LOW mark. The HIGH mark is about 11/16 closer to the gasket. The gasket itself is just under an inch long. So the distance from the top of the dipstick tube to the top of the oil level when full is about a foot, or ~30cm. If I only put 2.5L oil in, it would just barely kiss the tip of the stick.

Code:
(handle) (gasket) (stick) (marks)
       O--==-----------------x-x-
            |<-- 30.64 cm   -->|

Thank you all for your help.
I drained that shit again today and refilled it with 4qts. I then ran it for 5 minutes let it settle on level ground and then marked the dipstick. I appreciate the support guys!
