Man alot of misinfo here. The F22B does NOT have a provision for a knock sensor. With no where to screw it in, the mechanic does not have a way to put one on there for your p14 to listen to. The knock sensor is nothing but a mere microphone. I have never seen an F22B DOHC before, but you may have some luck finding an unthreaded hole that a knock sensor may go. Now you have 3 choices: you can JB weld that knock to something so it can "hear," you can purchase the p39 which is usually expensive and hard to find, or you can find a chippable ecu (search for which ones they are, usually out of 92-95 Integras and Civics) and have it chipped with the P39 base map or have it chipped AND tuned which I would recommend. With a chipped ecu, you will automatically delete your EGR function, knock (except on the p72), IABS (except on the p72) and you will be able to add functions such as shift CEL light and launch control or remove functions such as o2 sensor to run a closed loop (which I don't recommend....it really murders gas mileage). I currently run a P06 ecu with VTEC added in in my 92 Accord wagon running an open loop (o2 sensor on) and I get a consistent 30mpg with no a/c blasting. Also, if you were to swap to a different type of motor such as an H22a, all you need to do is swap the chips and you are ready to go!
