How to tell if it is LSD or not?

Please no one rip my head off, i did a search for over an hour...still cant find info on how to tell, I dont want info one what it came out of and what not...just wehn I look into the tranny output shafts holes on the tranny, if I see pin through center and around it is it LSD? Or if i see just a big hole to other side is that LSD? Please someone with knowledge on this help me, thanks

If it is a stock LSD it should be a M2B4 transmission. You can find the tranny code on the bar code located near the front.

The engine code reads M2F4...what is the diff between F and B? I thought there was some rule of thumb to just looking through the axle holes?

That's right... if you see a bar in the midde than it's NOT LSD, if you can see straight through, then it's LSD.

M2F4 is the USDM Vtec trans. Non LSD.
