I know this is probably a stupid question but how do you adjust the hand brake? I searched and came up empty. Well, there was a post in the 3rd gen section but it doesn't seem to apply to a 5th gen.

yeh, the handbrake is connected to the rear brakes. You can adjust handbrake stopping strength by adjusting the parking brake arm on the rear caliper. Theres also an adjusting nut under the center console. The full adjustment procedure is the helms , section 19-6. you can dl it online. Not sure if thisll really help alot with the handbrake strength. I cant really remember my handbrake ever being really strong, maybe thats just me...

Cool Thanks! Yeah my handbreak has never been really strong. Then what should we do when parking on a steep hill? I usually put it in first gear, and turn the tires. But sometimes, in a resident driveway, there is no curve to turn the wheels to. I'm not sure how strong 1st gear will hold.

Your e-brake "should" be able to lock up the rear wheels, I'd say.... I've driven other cars where this is the case, and if you think about it, that's what the purpose of the brake is to begin with (in case your power brakes fail). The e-brake doesnt do this in my new Prelude, or in my older Accord.
