everyone you ask will have a different opinion. Some people will love one clutch, and some people will hate the very same one... It also depends on what your goals with your setup are. I personally run an RPS stage 5, and has worked great for me....

 

true, i guess i have to look at it that way. probably the most torque i'll ever put down is 275ish, so i think any of these clutches are good up to that. i think i'll go with the exedy since i've only seen one bad review.

 

I had a good experience with my exedy clutch. Not sure what stage it was but it was rated for 356 lbs torque, I also had a fidanza 12lb flywheel as well. Wasn't too bad

 

I have heard a lot of good things about exedy and a lot of bad things about centerforce.

I have used both ACT and Clutchmasters. I have to say I like the ACT clutch combo better. It offers a stiff pedal feel but can it ever take the abuse. The only downside was I went through a slave cylinder lol, almost to stiff. The clutchmasters offer a very light pedal for the stage 3.

See if you can find a couple people with different clutches and drive them yourself.

 

I would say ACT. I didnt like the softer feel of the clutchmasters pedal, but thats just me. The cluctch performed fine, but just felt kinda sloppy with the light pedal.

 

I completely agree with you on this. I just loved the ACT clutch.

 

I'm loving my dual friction centerforce, i bought it used from the guy I got all my swap parts from, 45k miles on it already and it still feels and performs great. My mechanic checked it out before installing and said it was in great shape.

 

thanks for the help guys. i decided to go with ACT. ordered it this morning. i got the 6 puck heavy duty sprung race disk. i decided the 3 puck sprung exedy would get too much chatter for my liking.

 

^Very nice, if you like a stiff pedal feel thats the clutch for you.

 

I have a centerforce clutch its got about 40k on it. They'll hold up if you brake them in right. Its not a high hp clutch.

 

im running a act xtreme setup and love it. used a dual friction when i was n/a and it was good in the beginning, but then started to feel soft. unless it was all in my head.
