Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of help, I'm having an issue with my car, here's a bit of a run down of what happened/what's happening; I was out on a drive to work, now take in mind I don't particularly drive like a race car driver (closer to a scared old woman), so as I was driving my engine cut out as I was releasing the clutch into 3rd gear, all the electronics stayed on, I heard a little rattle, but the car kept rolling, (I assumed my clutch had failed and a component may have broken loose and jammed something) I depressed the clutch pedal and started the engine (still rolling), engine started fine so I thought all was well and put the car down to second and release the clutch pedal and bing, engine shut off again! I let the car roll around the corner and turned the electronics in the car off and opened the hood, what I smelled was definitely burned up clutch material, and sure enough there was smoke coming out of the little port on the bell housing for the clutch, got the car towed home and found clutch material, now a few days later I've gone to show a mechanic mate the issue and as I've released the clutch bam! No engine stall! But now the car ain't moving and there's definitely no power getting to the transmission, I'm not sure where to look with this one guys but was hoping I could get enough help on here to be able to fix it myself..

Probably the clutch disc came apart, but you won't know for sure until you pull the transmission.

Page 350 of the online manual has instructions for transmission removal. Get a decent clutch/pressure plate kit that comes with a new throw out bearing (Exedy is a good brand). Before installing it remove the flywheel and have it resurfaced.

Starting at page 338 are instructions for installing the clutch components.

Thanks man, I bought a cheap second hand clutch disk and pressure plate from the wreckers today which I have had inspected by my friend and myself and is for for use, I got it second hand as my budget has gotten really restricted (I need the vehicle to be running for an upcoming job, which will help fund for better parts) I'm getting a new release bearing too, I am yet to get access to a jack and some supports, I'm pretty confident that with my knowledge and a bit of guidance I'll be able to remove the transmission and replace the clutch and any other busted components. Feel free to shoot any pointers my way [emoji23][emoji108][emoji111]
