Its time to get this thing started. We are starting off with the 90-91 version front lip, this is the initial buy to get things off the ground and producing.
We will need 20 to get this of the ground and running.

This will be just like all other group buys, once you commit you will be required to put down 1/2 of the cost for a deposit and then the once the production starts the last half will be required.

Retail Pricing + $95Domestic US only(International shipping will be quoted independently)

All sales are final, no refunds, Period. If you cannot complete the group buy and want to sell your place, then work that out with whomever and have them pay me directly for the balance and you workout how to get your refund back.

Payments will be Money Order or can be paypal but all fees will be the burden of the payer.

**ON a side note the options other than the clean style will be charged separately.

I was trying to give everyone on the group buy the best deal by grouping the different styles for one price. Which was the whole point of a group buy.

So after the group buy is done all retail lips will be the same price and if any member wants a lip with vents or splitter etc, they will have to pay for the options.

So those who are on the group buy are getting the best deal because they are not charged for their options.

I will need to determine shipping due to this is the length of the bumper so its going to be an odd sized package, but that will be determined once the first kit ships.

Rear Lip 88-91:

1. Clean and simple
Style# 1 - $375

2. Clean w/vents - No picture but will look like above with vented corners
Style# 2 - $405

3. Splitter style no vents
Style# 3 - $395

As soon as I get all deposits, my fabricator will start asap. He estimated about a week to get the mold done and to make sure it comes out clean.
As soon as he gives me the thumbs up on his side, then production will start.
I will setup the first lip kit for measuring for shipping and then get the dimensions for shipping and start quoting and collecting the final payments with shipping and as soon as I get them I will ship out as many as possible at a time.

I will be going through Fedex ground due to the size of the kits and for ease of pick up and drop off from my location to yours.

The kits will be coming in Raw black so you can mount them up as soon as you get them, or you can have it professionally painted to match your style or whatever you choose.
I do not want to paint due to I just will not have the time nor will it be cheap on my end.

As always please keep communicating with me via email for specific questions, but all others can be asked on the thread unless I deam it necessary to take it to email.

This is a group buy as always the sooner all get their payments in the quicker things get started and products get shipped.

For the 88-89 luders, once this group buy is done, I will be taking my 88-89 bumper to my fabricator to determine how much the mold for your lips will be and then break down the costs for producing yours in a separat group buy. So please be patient.

I will start the list now, so please copy the list and paste your pp.com login ID next to the next available number and keep it going.

I also ask that all particpating member subscribe to the thread so that they are receiving constant updates about the group buy so no one is asking whats going on because you will be updated via the forum and then you need to come and read up.

Remember, once this starts it cant stop so please make sure to put your funds aside and stay the course until completion.

Paul here is a picture of the clips and bolts you will need that are available for the 99 Civics.

You will need 13 clips and 13 shoulder bolts. I found out from Bob that these are universal for all Honda OEM lips, you can thank Bob(Ludcifer) for doing the research on this. Personally I never though I would ever see an OEM bolt or clip for our bumpers, but these work for both the 88-91 Prelude bumpers.

The shoulder bolts are the black bolts with a long body before the threaded part starts.
The clips come with a nut that is welded to the clip. There is slop built into the clip so when you install the lip it allows for you to move it around to get the bolt threaded.

You can disregard the selftapping screws, that was a kit from the site I borrowed this picture from.

Ok I found the Honda part numbers and also Bob linked me to the kit he purchase, please note that you will need 13 sets of bolt and nuts to be complete and man are these things expensive:

Yes it will but I am not going to test that.

Its mainly for style, but it will help like any other lip does just dont be expecting anything significant.

Personally, I hate the sketches. They look terrible. I'm still waiting around for the 88 89 model, but if all I had to go by was these sketches, I wouldn't want to sign up either.

If this was universal I would hop on immediately. However, I see where people have a problem. I'm sure they wouldn't have an issue if the pictures weren't out of aspect ratio. Or maybe they are fisheyed, I can't tell. However, the lip looks teen feet tall with these pictures. I know it isn't, but you can't really blame them when it's 400 bucks and they can't really tell what it looks like. Just take it in paint and multiply the width by 1.5 or 1.7. That should get it less... exaggerated looking.

I gotta say that it did look pretty tall in the original pics. The correct aspect ratio makes all the difference with this. Nice job xxfal :emthup:

Yea, I definitely agree a *closer to correct aspect ratio makes a huge difference. I increased the horizontal width to 170% of original to make it look normal. It does make a huge difference in terms of how the lip looks, it looks much sportier and appealing even to me now.

Haha also after driving away and looking at my ms paint skills on another computer, I have to say the vent deletes are much less noticeable than after I had just fixed them. There's still some rogue pixels that don't make me happy, but honestly the splitter style w/out vents is my favorite lip out of the bunch.

No, he knows how this works.

If only 10 sign up, then the project just closes down.

I only take the deposits after I have reached the minimum accepted number of 30.

If we do not make 30, then it does not get done. There is a lot of work that goes into this, and its never going to happen unless we make that minimum number.
