Is this even plausible? I mean I know anything is possible. But what do you think the result would be? I think it could be very interesting to see the results. I think it would add too much weight. What do you guys think?

huh?

His is 4ws, not ATTS equipped.

Like Bdogg said, seems how both need a specific ECU, you would have to have an ECU designed for both. Not to mention that I imagine the ATTS would have some issues with 4ws.

I personally dont think having both would be a good thing.

Interesting, but a whole lot of work, for how much gain? It would be easiest to swap a full SH drivetrain and such into a 4th gen with 4ws, but an lsd tranny would be as usefull, especially since the 4th gen is that much lighter than any 5th gen, especially an SH.

doesnt 4WS have it's own ECU in the trunk? I dont think it would be too hard to do this, just do an SH drivetrain swap into a 4WS lude. People do the SH to base conversion, why not the reverse? I dont have an SH so I dunno, does ATTS have a separate ECU or does it use the main ECU? If they are all separate I see no reason why they would conflict with each other...

Well... not 100% on this but, if the 4WS ecu is obd1 and the SH ecu is OBD2 I can't see how that would be compatible.

Is there OBD2 complient 4WS? I have no clue if 5gens offer 4WS, maybe one of the euro models might.

Anything is possible with a little bit of work... I don't see why there would be a physical problem... of course I don't know any details about the 4ws such as when it turns the wheels or not... like does it do it at any speed? i saw yella's video of him turning in the parking lot and it turns parked but what about on the highway and stuff to help change lanes smoother?? i know some cars nowadays do it like the g35 and all that... the rear wheels turn up to 1 degree i believe which helps handling at high speeds.

i think the most realistic way (although it wouldn't be worth the money or even necessarily an improvement) would to fabricate a completely mechanical 4ws system like the 3 gens have and mate it to an already sh lude (or acura for that matter.) that way you don't have the ecu problem.

Not really... the 3rd gen had mechanical... but you would basically have to replace all the steering and rear suspension components for it to work on a 4th or 5th gen prelude, if that is even realistically possible... The ones that came on the 4th and 5th gens were electrical.
