Shimme, as always a genius :) I will be doing this sometime in the near future. I've been afraid to attempt a retrofit on my own because of all the cutting and retrofit-ness required. But this does not intimidate me lol. Thank you for being so awesome!

These are a great way for someone new to familiarize themselves with retrofitting. There's minimal cutting but it requires everything you need to know to do a real retrofit.

Shimee, I've read that when the clips break off it makes the shrouds fit loosely and they can fall off. Any opinions on that? Would it be a good idea to epoxy the shrouds on?

If you make the cuts like detailed then you dont have to break any clips. They'll sit pretty snug. But I can confirm that they can potentially fall off the projector. Because I hit a pothole pretty damn hard a few weeks back and it threw the shroud off the projector inside the headlight. I wouldn't epoxy them though. A little bit of RTV silicone adhesive is more than enough.

Oh bi-xenon works great. I'm just unbelievably lazy and work til 11 most days. The days that I had free time it would be raining usually. :D

I'd say the bixenon's on these things make up for their lack of beam width or size. I'd even go on a limb and say it's better than the bixenon function on e55's or FXR's.

shimee does it again! the retrofit source is actually about a 10 min drive from my front door :D fucking win! but my girl wants retro fits on her civic and i might have to go with these!

They're for the bi-xenon function. I put spade connectors on the ends and plugged them into the high beam harness since I have HIDs for highbeams. Otherwise I would have soldered the wires to those plastic connector things that you plug halogen bulbs into.

It's raining .... again. No effort to take pics tonight but maybe tomorrow, but the rain is supposed to extend into tomorrow.

Out of curiosity, what bulbs go into the high beams for the projectors? H1's i'm assuming?

It would be nice to throw a decent set of Nokya bulbs in there for a little flavor, and be able to keep my yellow high beams.

These projectors are bi-xenon and take one bulb. Theres a solenoid inside that moves the cutoff to engage the high-beam mode. You won't lose your regular highbeam function unless you put in a projector in the lower bowl. I've also tried putting in a halogen H1 bulb and it won't in these projectors, they only take H1 HID bulbs.

Sorry. My garage door is awful and you can see in the pics how horrible my driveway is. Plus I have about 20ft of driveway from the garage door to the road. On top of that I had a job during June that had me there til 11 every night so I was just in no mood. The only dark place I know with plenty of room is behind a strip of stores, and with my luck I'd run into a cop since the earliest I'd be able to get out there would be midnight or later. Add to that that I had an overheating issue this past week which I just resolved 2 days ago (simpler than I thought it was), including weather not being in my favor during my days off. Just a perfect combination to not get anything done.

A little long winded there ... anywho, my job was just til the end of June so now I have plenty of time. I'll probably stop by my friends house tomorrow night since he has a nice, long, flat driveway which I can use to get some nice pics.
