Just joined the forum as me and my roommate are working to fix up a prelude for him to drive. Last timing belt maintenance on the car is unknown and we'd like to replace it just for the insurance that we aren't going to destroy the valves anytime soon. I would love to go for an OEM belt and component kit, but I'm struggling to source one. If anyone knows where I could get one or a trustworthy aftermarket one please let me know. Thank you.

Did you go to the part store and order one?
At this age, none of the 80's-90's Honda's have high end aftermarket maintenance parts anymore.
Just order what they will support and do it properly, since its going to be a daily driver.

If its a project, that makes it even cheaper to just stick to off the shelf stuff.
No need to overthink it.

Thank you for the recommendation! Yeah I've been double checking that, I'm pretty sure it's a H23A1. I was looking at the gates kit actually, I was thinking of ordering it from rock auto because there's other parts I need. Ive also seen mention of the manual tensioner. Just curious on what the issue with the auto tensioner is, does it just commonly fail?
