Code 9...CYP sensor

ok, so i got a hold of another internal coil JDM dizzy from a friend of mine...he wasnt sure if it worked or not, but it was free so i took it...threw it on and its throwing a code 9 now...im pretty sure it is the sensor, and not the ECU or a broken wire since the first dizzy was fine...my question is, can i swap the sensor from the good external coil dizzy to the internal coil dizzy? is there anything else that would cause this problem? thanks

im throwing the same code, and iv been through 3 dizzys. im lost on what mine could be, good luck man hope you solve your problem.

in your case, it could be an open or broken wire...have you checked them?

thank you...i have heard that there are tamper proof screws that would give me some trouble...do you know if this is true?

yes, the sensors inside the dizzy's are interchangable..,

i knew I should of taken that left turn at 3rd gen...., I hope I'm not here in 4th gen after the sun goes down...lol

i thought the crank sensor was not in the dizzy on the external coils?

yes, all of the OBD1 dizzys have the CYP, CKP, and TDC sensors...not sure which sensors are in the OBD2 dizzys
