mobil 1, any full synthetic is good honestly. i have a neighbor that uses traditional oil 5w30 on their lude 93 lude si and has 240K on it.

 

i use Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10-W30 125k miles

 

i was running mobil 1 but i tried royal purple and my engine ran so much smoother and quieter... ill never use anything else

 

5w30 176k

mobil 1 10w-30, with mobil 1 filter ftw

 

mobil 1 full syn 5w30

ive never heard of someone using 10w 50 on a lude

 

There is nothing better then Redline synthetic oils. Nothing.


If your changing it like you should (3k miles OR when it gets to medium-brown) any oil is just fine.
If your turbo, use synthetic.

If it doesn't go below freezing where you live, use 20w50.
If it does, use 10w40.

 

Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10-W30 and my car drink oil like crazy if I live in the VTEC land all the time (almost 1 quazt for every 1000 miles)...

I usually use Castrol high mileage. The only oil I've ever used so I can't say anything eles is better. lol

And adding that "restore" stuff, really helps.

Where I live autozone doesnt sell it. I dont know about advanced. Here we have a Circle Auto store, and they sell it for I believe 5.60 or so a quart. Not too bad. I think you can also special order it from Jegs, or even Autozone. By far some of the best oil out there.

 

I've been using Valvoline full synthetic 10w30, but I'm gonna try Royal Purple soon just to see what the fuss is all about.

I was recommended to get Castrol 0w-40 (http://www.castrol.com/castrol/productdetailmin.do?categoryId=9004870&contentId=7009083) - what do you guys think? I live in the UK so can't get hold of Royal Purple I'm gonna do the oil/filter on thurs so I'll just have to see I guess!
