Hello there, the ALB light in my prelude has been on for quite some time now. Since i want to fully restore my beauty to full funcionality not only for comfort but for legal reasons aswell i was wondering if anyone got solutions for the Speed sensors since (im only guessing) i think one of them might be faulty. I think i have read that its possible to read out the blink code of the ALB Control Unit but i dont know the position where it is and everything after that. Maybe someone in here has got some experience, i have two new driveshafts in there (some extra information)

Yeah my red 91 prelude is an Si ALB car. My alb light had been since i have owned the car for 3 yrs. I sucked all the fluid out of the reservoir and put fresh in and that didn't help. I also tried jumping power directly to the pump/motor and it does nothing. So my pump must be bad. I also think I tried to get the solenoids to work and I think 1 of them might've worked.

I think i tried checking for alb codes and mine said nothing. Which is weird.

I am pretty sure the 91 service manual explains how to check codes.

Someday I do want to get my alb working again. But that will be a big project.

I have no clue about speed sensors.

I do know my car was having alb issues as early as like 2007 based on the paperwork I have on it.

Here is an interesting and helpful video in this thread I made.

And i found this video too that I watched a few weeks ago.

The ALB module is below the Radio, you can read the code by pull out the plastic cover located at the foothold area. Not sure which side of the LHD car, for my RHD, it is on the left side (which is the driver side of LHD).

Once you pull the cover out, read the code and let us know.

Is your ALB leaking ? if so, may as restore it while you restore your car. You will love it ;)
