Mods aiming for an interior F.A.Q. Stickie - all 3rd gen mats should be the same shape but you can correct the year if ya want etc.

I have been here for almost 4 years and have owned the lude just as long. Lately I have tried to add any links to tools or advice to the F.A.Q. Thread that will help everybody out that I have gained in the last 4 years. About 12 years ago I was a young 20 something wild cat. I used to smoke out with a stripper after work. She had a 3rd gen or 4th gen Accord. The thing that stuck out to me to this day besides she was hot and blonde was that her car was always clean and detailed. Good times! One thing I remember is she had extremely pimp plush floor mats. The kind begging for bare feet. Definitely not stock. Hindsight she probably had these that I will list below as the best floor mats you can place in a lude. If I knew anything when I got my lude stock mats were either not available or becoming extremely rare. That was 4 years ago. Here is a list of premium mats that I am yet to buy. I love the top of the line, Ultra Plush, but have settled on getting the second inline, semi-plush. Because the semi-plush has available for $20 a line custom embroidery. The brand name is Lloyd premium plush mats. The links I have had for several years and haven't changed so should be good for a long time hopefully.

Lloyds premium plush mats - Lifetime Warranty - $160.95 for set of 4, Fronts only - $138.95 etc.

Lloyds semi-premium plush mats - Custom embroidery available for $20+ - 2 year warranty - $113.95 for set of 4, Fronts only - $94.95 etc.

Lloyds Berber mats - 1 year warranty - for set of 4, $129.95

These are cut for 3rd gen. Semi - plush (that offers custom embroidery in different colors) also offers the external, outside lining in different coors for $10 maybe +

Yet another company catering to the 3rd gen Prelude! Personaly my 91si4ws came with no floor mats and ratty carpet. I have worn a hole through the carpet under the gas pedal. lol I hope to soon buy these and replacement molded carpet, and matching carpet by the yard for the door panels to complete my show car. ~Cudaboy :driver:

I want to state again that the following pics of the standard embroidable mat was color graphite to match the dark charcoal interior carpet on a '90-91 with black interior!

also pics of hexomats for trapping snow and water in winter spring.

I recently bought the standard plush floor mats by Lloyd floor mats. I may add this to my cars thread later but info was wanted so I deliver. I will post a mod shortly after creating this post to put a 36k warning now in the title as to accurately describe these/what I bought I decided on no less than 10 pics to display. I must say before buying these I got free carpet samples from Lloyd and stock interiors. Stock interiors is the other site that I endorsed and collaborated with mods for the F.A.Q.s. For budget custom cut mats with a variety of colors the stock interiors mats by their samples and website seemed great! However the standard Lloyd's mats are a cut above. They are more plush and state that their standard mats may be upto 2 times the thickness of stock oem mats. These come with a 2 year warranty. The ultra-plush are lifetime! As we very well know the stock 3rd gen mat o.e.m. is no longer available. Like I said the stockinteriors.com mats and replacement carpet are great. Both companies will mail you free samples for matching and comparing. I stated that from the samples that were mailed to me the Lloyd's ultra plush mats at about $160 for the four seemed like shag carpeting from the '70's. I wish I could of recieved a stock mat with larger carpet sample as after getting the stock embroidable mats that maybe they could of been more plush for a bare-foot response. They were more taught in a larger area and sewn edges. However I happy as the ultra plush (semi-shag) only came in medium grey and would of been way too bright for my black interior with dark charcoal interior found on a 90-91. I am unsure if the carpet is the same color on '88-89 models with black interior. To be honest I never payed that much attention at the junkyard. So I suggest you call for the free samples to match what you got. It sucks Lloyds didn't strike a deal with honda especially considering honda will no longer provide stock floor mats for the 3rd gen. You just look at autoanything.com website and you see if you had a caddilac they could embroider the entire crest in the middle of the mat. Enough to make you sick. But outside of that still the best product on the market. In matter fact the box they came in that was fed-exed, Wonder what that cost seeing how it was free shipping, said they been around since 1978.

I would also like to add that these didn't cost $113.95 for 4 because of requesting a catalog and carpet samples I got an extra 10% off. The 10% code was on the back of the catalog. So the total was $103.95 with free shipping for the 4.

Well in effort to keep my new carpet floor mats looking new longer and to keep all the snow melt from my shoes on the mat and not let it run off to the pristine carpet that I aquired at the junkyard recently, I bought hexomats! I only bought the front pair as I never use the back seat and the rear hexomats were kind of expensive. These are just for the winter months and if we happen to go a month without snow or if I have a hot date then I will stick the lloyds carpeted mats back in.

They were $49.95 with free shipping. They have grey but I thought that would be too bright so I just got black. They also have clear and tan. Clear sounded kind of interesting and would let the color shine through somewhat but ultimately I couldn't get the image of my grandmothers car in the early 80's with clear seat covers! Same scenario would apply for a clear sofa cover protector. lol. These are designed to hold up to 6-8 cups of water! Added benefit of design is the water can't run to the edge as each honeycomb catches the water. Oh yeah I guess I got these 10% off too. They have 10% off sales all the time.

NICE, the little hexagons look like they can hold alot of water.

keep us post on how they hold up, i cant seem to find any decent winter floor mats that dont soak my carpet and can actually hold onto the water.

you COULD spend over $100 on floor mats....OR you could get 2nd gen integra floor mats from a junk yard for next to nothing.

yes, they fit, I have them in my car.
I have never seen any floor mats at the junkyard that were in good shape. espescialy from a 20 year old car.

Rambothemighty1You're not the only one with stock floor mats, but are they in good shape? That's the question. I need some front floor mats...hmmm I think I smell a christmas present for me. Today 11:30 AM
Have you been a good girl? :devil:That should be the question.

Yes to answer your question, yes still great shape, just a little dirty, nothing a good clean won't take care of.

Yeah pics would be nice. I am not saying that they can't be nice but that it is rare. I got some mint 3rd gen carpet for $10 at the junkyard. These mats will keep it mint. My carpet however was quite ratty the heel pad was gone there was a hole from the heel infront of the gas pedal. There were no mats.

I just thought of something funny! Does your integra floor mats that your rocking in your prelude say "Integra"?

its not a question of if she's been good, its a question of if the person who'll buy them for her will get the hint
Truthfully I think she wants me to send them to her for christmas, but unfortunately they are not for sale, and rambo, if I had the money, I would send them, cause very few things makes me happier than seeing a woman work on a car.:inlove:

Ok back on topic, great find, they are very nice mats, little pricey, but would emphasize the nice interior. Good web site.
