Wrecked 91 Prelude on Hibid for Auction

Yeah, maybe someone with the right skills could bring it back, but that one might be beyond saving. But like you said there are lots of good parts on that car. The wheels are missing the center caps. I wonder if they're in the car? Someone needs to snag it up. It'd be a shame to see it crushed. This is bringing back lots of fond memories of when I used to scour the junkyards looking for 3rd gen parts.

i'd love to be able to buy it I need a drivers door and all the glass looks good, if getting the paperwork wouldn't be a huge pain in the ass.maybe the engine is salvageable ?

Yeah, not having a title would complicate disposal of the chassis once you have all the parts you want off the car. I'm not clear on what all would be involved but I'm sure that varies from state to state.

I'm going with the assumption that the engine is okay. You can definitely assume it's not blown. Since that car was crashed you can at least assume it was running when the crash happened. Same assumption for the transmission. So barring any impact damage, the engine and trans are probably okay.

A junkyard will take a car without a title. The bill of sale from auction would be enough. There is no fixing that car. The frame is bent to the point where it can't be pulled. Also notice that it has front and rear end damage. A shame since it looked well maintained but it's only worth it as a parts car. I would only consider it worth it to buy it if you live in or near GA and needed a parts car.

I said it would complicate things with no title. I didn't say it couldn't be done. In my case if I want to get rid of a derelict car, since the closest junkyard to me is over an hour away it would be more than an inconvenience to deliver a car to them. And I'm too far away for them to come get it. Since the high bid on the car is up to $400 it's becoming less and less desirable without knowing the condition of the rest of the car (besides the obvious damage).
