Doing some clean up to my '99 and noticed a crack in the right front wheel in the rim area. I guess that's why that tire has been slowly losing air. So off to the local junkyard and found a gen5 with white wheels (Si?) but two of those also had cracks (in the spokes). Question; are the gen5 Prelude wheels prone to cracking? If so, I might be better off with aftermarket.

They're not prone to cracking, but always possible based on road conditions/driver/tire size.

One of the spokes of one of my wheels has been partially cracked since I got it in 2012. It hasn't gotten worse, however I'd never aurocross or roadrace with that rim.

replace a cracked wheel and no there is no defect in prelude wheel design that makes them prone to cracking
