wwaaaaaayyy back in the day, honda used 10-w30 as a manual tranny fluid.

then they came out with the grey label MTF.

now they have the green label MTF.

i'd use honda's MTF over anything else. motor oils tend to have detergents in them that transmissions don't always want.

stay away from redline. our synchros are not fond of it. when i bought my 91, it had redline and a two-three crunch. i drained and filled it with honda MTF and my crunch went away.

After using Millers CRX for years I now have a new favourite in my 'box.
Amsoil MTF 5w/30.
Best I've had in mine and it's not getting any younger.

yeah lol, never use ATF in a standard transmission.

honda manual transmission fluid i think is best.
10w-30 motor oil can be used, but should only be used temporarily until honda mtf can be put in

Unless it's a Saturn. :)

Genuine Honda MTF (Green label) for sure, shifts better than 10w30.

I have found even better results with the 2 I mentioned above than with H MTF.
Yes I know it's almost blasphemy with some of you but it's true.

I've got my own nails and hammer but finding it tricky to hold them in place and swing the hammer.
If you want to give me a hand.............. you might want to be wearing that guantlet. I'm not that accurate ;-)

no one is rocking royal purple gear oil?
Why? When I put my b20a in I put RP motoroil in. I don't know if it is causing my syncro problem or not. Guess I need to go to OEM.
