I was flipping thru a july 1989 copy of motor trend and found this:

"...Perhaps an even more advanced system [than the ZR-1] is one slated for a sports model to be introduced in late 1989 by Honda. The engine will be an inline-four DOHC 4-valve of 1600cc capacity, with output near 160hp, without turbo- or supercharging. That's 100hp/liter, folks, an amazing specific output for a normally aspirated engine."
