To start off I have a 2000 SH Vtec standard shift prelude. The other day I started having issues shifting into gears. I have in the past year replaced the clutch, master and slave as well.

I am able to drive up to a few miles with no issues after running tests on all the listed above including all fluids and checking for leaks. Once again though after a few miles the shifting locks up. I can turn the car off and put in gear and once again go.

So I am lost on the issue:

1. reset the computer
2. checked all fluid lines
3. Car can shift into all gears with no noises when off
4.Car will shift in gears with no problem as well when running for a few miles
5. Clutch is in working order
6. Master/Slave seem to be doing there job
7. No leaks anywhere can be detected
8. All fluids are full

I would appreciate if anyone has any ideas on the issue before I bring into the shop.

One last note its seems to be as the car heats up possibly something is blocking the shifting of the gears.

Thanks again.

Did you bleed the clutch line thoroughly when you did the slave/master replacement? My guess is that as the line heats up, the air in the line expands and is therefore more compressible once the car has been running for awhile.

Meaning that instead of moving the clutch, you're just squeezing the air in the line.

+ 1for bleeding the clutch line out.

also make sure you are using dot 3 fluid.

another spot to look to is make sure your line and dampener are not leaking.
