Ok, like the title implies, my car started smoking when I was testing my turbo setup(not hooked up to intake, just looking for leaks) and some smoke came from the turbo area. It has full oil, didn't burn any before I did this, full coolant, good compression and no oil blowing out of my dp. Any ideas as to what could be going on?

smoke

Have you got the oil lines plummed into the turbo? Probably from that maybe or possibly the turbo was lubricated for corrosion protection and thats burning off. Could be a number of reasons, is the turbo water cooled or just oil cooled?

water cooled, but without the lines hooked up. I think it might be the oil from my hands too, since I started it the other day and it didn't do, just panicked a little lol. I poked around the net and I have heard alot of people just hooking it up with no cooling lines and not having trouble, any opinions?
