All i have to say is wow, i really thought these things were over rated, until i got one of my own.
I actually dropped mine when i first took it out of the box, i had no idea it would be so heavy. It feels like its well over a pound, maybe 2 pounds. Im not sure, but the extra weight gives it a really good feel when going through the gears, it give a much more positive engagement.
Id say its worth every cent, it looks good, and makes shifting your car alot easier and more enjoyable, ive had 4 shift knobs including the weighted greddy, and this one takes the cake. Id reccomend it to anyone. Spend your money right the first time and get the skunk2
ive had one for a year too and loved ever second of it...
except in the hottt as tn summers (like now)
they get hot as balls..
i even have put a bandana on it just to drive haha Posted via Mobile
i love mie to death. makes me wonder how i could drive on the stock one for a year. i understand about the hot summer part though. i always throw my hat over mine when i get outt the car
I def have to agree. I bought mine for 50 in person and didnt hesistate after feeling how heavy it was. After i installed it i just threw my stock one in the trunk and never looked back.
Ive got this one also, but I was told by the guy at the ricer shop that it adds 15hp. I must of got ripped off. either way lol, I love it. But here in FL it does get pretty darn hot.
I don't have the Skunk2 knob, rather the OEM DC2R one. However their exactly the same except the Skunk2 one is darker in color. But IMO its the best gear knob that I have ever owned. Shifting is more precise and plus it looks great too. Highly recommend it.
Im planning on getting this knob 2... Everyone tells me it's the sh** 2.... Heard it goes best with the skunk2 short shifter.
Anybody kno where I can find a skunk2 short shifter 2 go with the knob...and do they even make it? Posted via Mobile
I love mine, its a great product and helps with your throws. I do have one warning tho, if you have any rings on your right hand - beware. Shift knob will scratch after little use. SO take your rings off when you drive, and or move them to your other hand haha.
thanks for the review. i contemplated getting this. now it's on the list! haha!
best place to buy stuff for your car at a cheap price would be ebay. or try your local night markets. always have hid kits, led lights, knobs, cone filters, etc everywhere.
Its a very nice shift knob. I guess you pay for quality and brand name reputation.
