I just bought a 1984 Prelude, manual transmission and 97k miles on her. I'm hoping to get some help with some things.

1. this 1.8L engine, what are some things I should do first for ether better performance or just because we have better technology.
2. I'm guessing that I should change the timing belt since it's 36 years old.
3. There is a hose coming from the exhaust manifold to the air intake tube - what is that called? Mine is broken.
4. Seats.. the seats have seen better days. I'm going to look into have them reupholstered and new cushions however, I wouldn't be against just getting new seats has anyone done that before and do you have any suggestions?
5. Any other watch outs or things I should know?
