this is a super simple mod that works very well.

everyone is all about the new adjustable endlink design.
while they are very cool and work great, there is nothing
wrong with the old design of the non-adjustable
MustardCat endlinks.

seeing how i bought two sets of these when they first came out
(i got the very first one... no. 0001 KA-POW !!!!! ;) )

i did not want to toss them nor did i want to shell out
more money getting adjustable versions of what i already had.

well....i came up with this. its a free fix that requires a couple of simple cuts.
while not 'fully' adjustable like the new secluded endlink design. this mod
returns some life into the old original design. and it works great.
setting it for 2" drop realigned my swaybar perfect.

if you are really slammed with your lude, you can go as far as 4"
(just put bar at base of endlink and all barrels on the other end)
.. but if you are this low, i doubt you even have swaybars or would
need to made this mod, just flip the whole barrel and be done ;)

you can also cut one of the 25% pieces in half (two 12.5% pieces)
this will give 1/2 inch adjustably.

swapping the order of these barrel pieces will put the swaybar at
the correct alignment (to a point) depending on how much your
car is lowered.

enjoy...

and if you like this idea that much.. rep me baby !!!

This is a Good idea for those of you who may have an older version of the endlinks produced by either MustardCat or myself.

However this does not make them adjustable endlinks, this makes them Adjusted endlinks.

Reason being is that once you cut the sleeve, you cant add more back onto it unless you make a new sleeve.

Having the new endlinks i produce now (true) adjustable endlinks, allows you to TUNE your swaybar as opposed to just being stuck with one position, unless you diassemble the endlink and make a new sleeve.

Making new sleeves isnt very time consuming, but you must disassemble the endlink in order to make the adjustments. The fully threaded endlinks make for on the fly adjustments with simply the turn or a wrench.

the title of the thread may be misleading (you cant edit that when you post), but the name in the image is not.
this mod turns non-adjustable endlinks into preset adjustable end links.
you can adjust the sway bar in 1" increments based on the order of the barrels on the endlink.

the barrels (sleeves) also give the endlink strength.

Reason being is that once you cut the sleeve, you cant add more back onto it unless you make a new sleeve.
not true...the magic of this mod is that the barrel pieces you cut now stack ;)

Brilliant idea, nice work
thanks bro :)

i try to post mods that are either super cheap or free.
cant get better then that :D

Thats a rather clever idea, i like it.
Should work great.

Less fine tuning then is possible with the threaded adjustable ones, but still plenty good.

Very good to know, if I ever lower the gold lude this will be way easier on the wallet than buying new adjustables.

I like it. That's a very MacGyver-ish mod you've come up with. :D

So I know this is an old thread, but this sounds like a very worthy mod.
I never even knew that you had to adjust your end links when lowering a car.

My car is lowered 2.25" and my end links have broken twice and this is probably why! So would I move mine about 2" then to correpsond with the lowered height? And is cutting all that's required? No need to reweld the new piece on?

Thanks!

That all depends. You cant do this to honda endlinks. Only the ones originally produced by mustardcat or myself.

Or grab the adjustable ones

x2

this mod is more for the old links that are no longer made.
if you buy new links they are already fully adjustable.

and you do need the new endlinks if your car is lower.
the sway bar angle is important.
