wow didn't know you were getting this involved with your lude! if you convert the front end to something... keep it period correct. like the da teg or whatever. i actually thought that looked alright, but the 300 lights are just way way too big. ebay sells some stationary headlight conversions for 240's that i honestly think would look good in a 3g. good work so far though

This is coming along nicely man! I can t wait to see it!

Any ides when you are going to have it finished?
My goal is early july, I graduate monday, so that will be out of the way. Then I just have to find either an h22a1 or a4, slap her in, and finish up the body work.

whats up with the middle of the lip?? the pic makes it look like you cut it out
I got it for free off my friends old accord, but their was a big tear down the middle. So I just fit up the sides, and am in the process of smoothing the center together. I believe the lip was too long anyways, but don't quote me on that..

Anyways, this is my first real experience with this type of work, so any feedback is appreciated...

Also, got in contact with peter over at rywire and am pulling out my harness to be sent later this week...

Or I may just drop it off when I have to go to orientation on the 18th for SJSU....

Very good progress, I like what you did with the window trim... mine are faded too, but I went to the junkyard and found some really mint trim, it was 2.99 a stick... my old ones are all messed up too from people breaking into my car and ripping my trim up.

Damn, I shouldve looked for that when I was at pick n pull.
All I was really looking for was h22a1/a4's, oh and a 4ws system if I came across it...

oh man...you should of asked around before you picked that up. not only is it obd2 but you going to have to remove the immobilizer...i hope you can figure it out since you already have the motor, i thought about doing this swap for a long time since i have the motor but its just to much work for me, so if you get it done lets see a right up. no jumper harness is going to make this work

O ye of little faith, I have been researching this for quite some time.

Here's the conversation I had with peter from rywire about making it all hook up.

Hello,
I am nearing the end of collecting parts for my H22 Swap into my 1991 Prelude Si, which I believe is currently OBD1. I have come across a great deal on an H22a4(OBD2), and my question is as follows; what would need to be done to have it set up as OBD1? I would like to keep the set up OBD1 for tuning purposes.

Thanks,
Joshua
Simply use an OBD1 ECU - i'm assuming this is a manual conversion.
The OBD2 equipment (diz, inj, alt) is cross compatible with the OBD1 computer.

All you need to do is put the engine harness from your car (just the engine wiring, no interior wiring) as well as the engine harness that came with the new engine, in a box and send it to the address on our home page.

Please include a note with your phone # and return address as well as any swap information you deem necessary inside the box. I'll give you a call when it gets here and take any payments at that time by credit card or paypal. Sending a money order is also good. Return shipping is $10 for 3-4 day air and $40 for 1-2 day express.

The engine harness that came with the new engine doesn't need to be perfect, if it has some cuts or was cut at the shock towers, that's fine. The engine harness from your car however we do want to be near-perfection - 1 or 2 broken clips is fine and we'll replace them for free in most cases.
Our turn around time is around 10 days.

Thanks ~ Peter
