So, when I shift into reverse I get a jerk, sometimes it's huge, sometimes not so big.
It's a 97, @ 186k. Jerk does not happen in any other gear. Fluid is pink, I know the autos are notorious for failing, which is what I have. Mechanically the car seems fine from driving, no slipping or late shifting otherwise.
Do you think my tranny is going out? I just bought this not even two weeks ago.

It's an automatic. It's not a matter of "if" it will fail, so much as "when".

A little bit of a jerk is normal, however if it feels violent, then there's likely something wrong, especially with 186k on the clock.

Check the mounts, one is probably broken.

Not every single transmission fails, my 6yrs at the dealer has shown me plenty of them still on their original transmission, same goes for Pilot's Odyssey's, Civic's and Accord's of the same years as they all had the same issues.
