I've found plenty of these gems in Japan, but I'm not 100% certain it's legal to import them. Wondering if I should switch up my approach and search for a possible LHD version of the bb8 (if it even exists) from the UK? Worried that a RHD BB8 would be trouble to import- and yes I know insurance, registration, licensing, ect are all much much more expensive. But I've had my eye on this car for a while, now that I've found some I'd love to hear some input on whether or not its legal to have it in the US, Washington to be specific, Northwest area, not DC.

I never knew a AWS 5th gen existed. Can these parts be swapped?

I think a car has to be 25 years old to import it. It is not at all cheap to import stuff either. I checked on bring a container in from china a couple years ago and it was going to be over $4k.
