I need help with my e brake 5th gen

So I was an idiot today and driven a good distance across town with my e brake on. Needless to say my e brake doesn't work anymore and I'm just trying to figure out what I have to do to fix it, any help is welcome. Thanks

Have you released the brake and made sure the cable is moving freely? You may get lucky and need to adjust it.
