hi here my deal
i seen a for sale or trade 1999 prelude

but he said the automatic trans is giving up or have some trouble .

my confusion issue is
are all 5th gen is obd2 mean base and sh model
since h and f is the same can i use a f trans for this regards on
if this is a obd2 or 1.
and if not all f series is compatible to this what other option will get me to fix it.

also im looking to just convert it to manual trans
but i only get a the one from a 1995 vtec model 5 speed parts

im aware of sh model get different parts
so please help me and fill me info on this as im not familiar on 5 gen:oops:

All 5th gens are OBD2 and any H/F transmission will mount up to any H/F motor (Excluding SH/Type S).

Because it has a "4 cylinder vtech engine". :D

All 5th Gen Prelude's in the U.S. are OBD2A. As far as I know, all H/F transmissions (Except the M2U4 found in the SH/Type S) will work with the base H22A4 block.

yah ... i think i just go past on it....

with all the parts need for the conversion on 5 speed
including programming with the red key..
is to much hassle ....

thank you 5 gen..;.

Because it's a piece of shit sissy-stick that is already dying. The car was not maintained and the previous owner is clearly beyond ignorant.

All 5th Gen Prelude's in the U.S. are OBD2A. As far as I know, all H/F transmissions (Except the M2U4 found in the SH/Type S) will work with the base H22A4 block.
There are other ATTS transmissions besides the M2U4. :)
