Are there any dash clusters for the 3rd gen prelude with a digital/ retro feel? Like the Nissan Fairlady Z z31 and it's digital dash, or the 89 Honda Accord JDM Digital Dashboard.
Were there any alternative dashes available? Could a dash from another car fit?

I've never seen a digital dash 3g Prelude, so there probably never was a trim level that came with it - It wouldn't have been very cost effective for Honda to produce them for only some trim levels, so it probably wasn't an option and a digital dash was never developed for it. This is just supposition, but it's supported by the fact that the differences between trim levels was small. All of them came with A/C, Cruise and no cup holders LOL. Electric windows and/or mirrors was an option, and automatic transmission. Not all models came with 4ws, but even models that didn't come with it could accept it - all models had steering knuckles in the rear - it was just a matter of getting ahold of the 4ws racks and the shaft in between and installing them.

I don't know about any other Honda models that might have a compatible digital gauge cluster, but if you're not afraid to cut and splice wiring back there and do some custom work, it's more than possible to make one. Plenty of aftermarket companies make and sell digital gauges, like Intellitronix here in the US (Intellitronix | United States | Car and Truck Gauges). That's just one example - there are a lot more, for all the hot rod builders in the world. You know, the guys that build and restore old jalopies from way back when, can't source factory parts anymore, and custom stuff is the ONLY option they have? (This should sound awful familiar to any 3g lude owner. LOL) Here's another site that actually lists a Honda model for S2000 - (Custom Digital Gauges). It's not cheap, but if you're willing to part with the cash, it can sure be done. You'd have a unique 3g lude for sure! It'd be pretty cool to see!
