I ordered parts from ESP over 7 months ago and now they are not even emailing me back. PayPal will not honor dispute after 180 days so it looks like I got SCAMMED. Just a heads up for anyone thinking about ordering from them.

you didnt get scammed. it just takes 5 years for them to make one part.

I pray that to be the case, but last I heard my parts were already packaged and ready to ship. That was 3 months ago

I got some stuff late last year. I was persistent. Delivery was slow (multiple months), I was patient suspecting delays due to the Plague, maybe that's just business as usual.

If "it's boxed up, ready to go" then ask for a tracking number.

What month? I placed an order in August. I don't care if he is just behind on orders or whatever but he could at least email me back and let me know. I have been extremely patient but this is ridiculous. I bought some engine mounts back in 2016 with no problems and no delays so I didn't think anything of it.

I just looked it up:
February 19th ordered mounts just before the Plague shit really started boiling.
May 28th: "Will be shipped out middle to late next week"
July 6th tracking code.

Quoted 7 week lead time, started hounding him after 14.

So "next week" is short hand for "next month or so."

(Sorry, my timeframe and memory are a bit off)

It's nothing new. Took them 6 months to get me motor mounts. Everyone knows they take forever.

Unfortunately this is normal for ESP. I too waited a good amount of time for parts, and this was way back in 2011.


As mentioned, just keep on them. You'll get the parts eventually but every review out there states how slow they are.

Unfortunately they are not a legit and trusted business anymore. Ownership was fallen on someone different and they have zero care for customer service. They were recently officially placed on the Prelude “hall of shame” on Facebook for not being trusted anymore. Because there’s dozens of people that have spoken out in your same shoes and were getting ignored after months to a year of time. And we ALL know how expensive their parts are so wasting time is frowned upon. Recently someone received their mounts after a year and the mount was bent, bushing not dully pressed in, and the “”POWDER COAT”” was chipped off in several places. ESP is now not trusted. Hopefully noone else will ever send them money. They used to be legit, and they messed it up.
I hope you get your parts man.. just keep at it and keep messaging them. Don’t be afraid to threaten them with posting on all the Prelude pages how un-reputable they are.
Last time someone tagged the owner on Facebook and he replied quickly knowing the 50,000 people on that page could see the post. (Still never sent the parts)
Again. Keep at it, hope you get your parts.

I ordered Mounts , traction bar etc from them over 5 YEARS ago and after patiently waiting 6+months I emailed politely asking how it was going and was without notice and without explanation refunded my $800 or whatever it was.

ESP has always been a joke IMO. I wouldn't give that Dude 5 cents.

After that debacle I went with Innovative mounts and TB and no complaints. They shipped out the next day and fit perfect.

Thanks for the input guys I do appreciate it. The funny thing is, the traction bar was "on sale" when I bought it. January 21st he said " Your items are boxed and will be shipped out our next bulk shipping day next week." That's the last time I heard from him. I don't get on Facebook or I would definitely say something in the prelude groups.

You didn’t get scammed, they just take forever! I ordered from him January of 2020 (front and rear strut bar/lower tie bar) and received my order in July 2020 so it took about 7 months. Wait, then wait some more you’ll get your order. ESP is terrible at costumer service yet they make great parts and no where near a timely manner!

Hi guys. Little update. I'm 3 days away from the one year mark since I've paid for my parts. Last time John emailed me back was in July saying,

"Hello, thanks for the inquire. We are just waiting on large batch of back ordered heims and rods to get here. We will have your unit out end of next week. We will Email with the Trk # soon as it ships. We have not forgotten about you. Thanks"

Same shit I hear everytime. I have just been asking for a refund lately because the situation is just flatout disrespectful at this point. I don't even want to represent anything ESP anymore. Terrible company.

So ill put in my .02.

I placed a pretty large order with them a few months ago. Part of that order included some prototype parts used for reference in producing the normal parts. Those parts are no longer being offered, so they sold me the prototypes. I received those after a couple weeks from purchase. The rest of the order ive not been notified about, and it has been past the expected completion date by about a month.

But as I said, I did receive the prototype parts fairly quickly. There was also a shipping error, but they were on top of that before I could even email them about it.

ArFabrications has had my engine since around Nov. They are having a huge delay because of covid lockdown BS and lost all their help. Now its just howard and his wife doing all the work. Similar situation with innovative mounts. Took them months for a front mount and track bar.

Im not making any excuses for anybody, but it seems a ton of companies are having trouble fulfilling orders right now.

Alright guys. So I found out, John will only talk to you if you annoy the crap out of him. I was emailing him everyday at 7am eastern time, telling him to refund my money and not send the parts.

He finally responds and says, "Hello, thanks for the inquire. As of this morning your items have already been shipped. We will have todays Trk #s for Email by tomorrow morning. We apologize for the delay your Emails were caught in our Spam folder."

Ok, for one, FUCK YOU John Gordon. Keep in mind I paid for my parts on August 18th 2020. He sent this email on August 19th 2021. A whole year and a day after I had paid. He also lied because the parts didn't even get picked up until the 20th, so whatever. He gives me the tracking number the next day.

I get a box today, on the 25th, and it's the T bracket and the alternator relocation brackets. Not even the traction bar or heim rods, which he claims has been the whole reason he hasn't sent them to begin with (waiting on heim rods).

I'm so pissed off. The quality isn't even the greatest on the fabrication portion of the T bracket. On the alternator bracket, the "slot" that the alternator slides in when you loosen or tighten the belt, seems to be opened up larger on one end, like he got too excited with the die grinder/ dremel or whatever he used to make the slot. I swear to god I could free-hand plasma cut a straighter line.

Anyway, I did get a return address, for anyone wanting to know more about Explicit Speed Performance, or where their parts are being held hostage at 😉

I need to say this also. I am not someone who goes out of their way to make someone look bad. I'm not even a confrontational person. I am just a person who works hard, used his earnings to buy car parts, and had to wait over a year to receive only half the order. I don't talk shit for enjoyment, but I'm feeling pretty SCREWED here, and the only thing I can do is try and tell other people about my experience.

I got an email last night after multiple attempts to get in touch with John. He said he was going to send the traction bar this Monday with tracking number. We will see.

Today's Thursday and I haven't heard anything, with multiple attempts to contact the company. I didn't think I would hear anything anyway. My emails are just going into his spam folder, like he said. I'll probably have to wait another year until I get the last half of my order.

No sir. No parts, hell not even an email for nearly a whole month. He hasn't sent me anything. Surprise surprise. I have probably sent him 20-30 emails since then.
