I have a 92 prelude S and I absolutely love the car, except it's obvious that the engine is getting a little tired. By the end of the summer I want to either rebuild it or replace it. My end goal for the car is to throw a turbo on it, since I absolutely love the prelude platform and would swap it into another shell if necessary.
The question I want to ask is costs relatively aside, which should I build on? Should I:
1) Find a Used H22 and rebuild it, then swap it into the car
OR
2) Rebuild my F22 with stronger internals and prepare it for a turbo later down the road
Which of the two is better suited for a turbo setup? Since I want to get 200+hp out of the car I think forced induction would be the way to go, but I'm all ears for other opinions.
Only other question I have is if I was to swap my f22 for an h22 what all needs to change? (Engine, Ecu, Transmission probably..?).
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
