I may be overly sensitive to this issue since I had a Prelude lower ball joint break for me. Even at walking speed that's pretty exciting so one of the first things I did with my newly acquired Lude was to grease the ball joints. Since they have no zerk fittings, you have to use a needle and poke a hole in the boot. The quicky lube places won't do this, so I'm guessing that these joints have not been lubricated for 22 years. It has made a difference in steering effort so you might want to think about yours.
