did a valve adjustment.

its not as loud as before but its still has some ticking sound.
is this normal?
or did one of my valves got damage or soemthing?

my mech did the adjustment.
hes a honda specialist and has worked on a lot of preludes.
he said its normal plus... after another 10k i should do another adjustment.

i am running 10 - 30 moble 1 fully syn

question is.. is there anything else i should do? or could i do to make it sound a little bit more quite???

asking this is because i want a 2nd opinion...

get a long screwdriver (and i mean long) and pit it on the valve cover, then place the other end in your ear. what do you hear? if you hear more mechanical noises then actual tapping, then youre good. all hondas have a "honda tap" its normal. if there is still a valve tap, then youll probably need the valve train worked on. new springs/valves/retainers/seats...the works. i doubt thats the case though unless you beat the ever livin shit outta your car.

The tap is your fuel injectors opening and closing. My SRT-4 does the same thing, except louder. As long as its rapid and constant, you're fine.

well if you trust your mechanic and he advised that this sound is normal then that should take a lot of weight off your shoulders. he is also a honda specialist who has worked on lots of preludes. Sometimes we listen to hard for ANY sounds, and the first little sound we hear we immediatley think problem. i know i do. :warning:

Get a ocosoidoaifj :D its a little probe that u can touch to any metal and it will give off sounds if its hitting something focuses in so u dont really have to listen into it. Works really well.
