I’m at a last resort here because I’m just dumbfounded as to what my issue is. The AC in my car was bypassed when I got it and I was told it just needed a new compressor. I just shrugged it off because it looked to be the oem compressor. So I tear it apart and put a reman compressor on that I tested to be sure it worked before I wasted all the time putting it back together. It worked but only for about the first two time the car was turned on. Then it just stopped. I’ve gone through all the relays and check wires and all seems to be good. The compressor control unit also appears to be good. The only real issue is the cooling fan is dead. Could this be causing my issue? The condenser fan would work when the compressor was on so I know that one is good but the cooling fan doesn’t do anything when 12v is applied. I’m not much of an AC guy with these cars as my 88 has all of that junk removed but this car is a clean daily and id really like to have the AC with Illinois sporadic weather. Any ideas would be great willing to try almost anything at this point.

No. Just another wasted thread made and thrown into the ether.....smh
Actually I had a fairly busy week studying for tests. College is a b*tch. So I didn’t really get a chance to respond.

As for things that I tested:

I tested the compressor clutch to be sure it engaged and check tolerance in it. All was good, compressor turned fine by hand.

Checked all the relays for the system(at least the ones I know of) Both relays down by battery tray and the condenser fan relay. They are all good.

I visually inspected the wires I could see to make sure none where chewed up didn’t do a continuity check.

I removed the compressor control unit and looked at it it all looked to be fine so but I replaced it with the one from my other car to see if that was the issue and it still didnt work. I then resoldered and bridged it like on the write up on prelude3g.com and still nothing.

Like I said in the original post the only thing wrong with the car is the cooling fan and I’m unsure if this has anything to do with my issue.

Ok good, that helps.

Now did you test the pressure switch on the drier on the driver side of the car to see if it even comes on?

Here is a picture of my old yellow H23 swap the driver/switch are circled in red.

If your sure its not overcharged you can jumper those 2 pins to see if it kicks it on.
That can be dangerous to do if the system is overcharged but a way to test if the switch is stuck.

You can also Check it for continuity with an ohmmeter

Thank you! It was in fact the switch just have to order a new one and flush the system and she’ll be ready to go!
