fuel filter
distributer cap and rotor
spark plugs and wires
thermostat
radiator hoses
pcv valve, grommet and hose

got the following aftermarket parts in:

the car is running real smooth now, still got a random sounding knocking sound from the front driver's side when over 120 kilometres/70 miles per hour and when raining only and can only hear it if the window is open

...cleaned up the interior

...would you all believe i was driving for many months without the fans connected?? ...was driving on the highway and having some fun with accelerating etc, AC cranked on high, one of the hottest days, come off the highway and see my needle rising ....so decided to change out most of the fluids

...went with synthetic 5w30 for the first time

...so, for sure this time, this is the smoothest and most responsive I had the car running (i've said this before when the fans weren't connected lol)

...also spent almost $400 on a optima yellow top - my hope is that since i barely drive the car it'll last more than 8 or so years the last battery lasted and that it won't leak like the last battery

8 years seems pretty good on a candian tire battery. When I bought my battery from the dealer a couple years back the parts guy seemed convinced it wouldn't last more than 3-4 years...then again he wanted me to have it installed there to get 2 more years of warranty...

yeah for sure the canadian tire one lasted a long time, ...credit goes to indoor parking and cleaning the terminals with baking soda and water?

interesting that the dealer would extend the warranty if they installed, ...what's the minimum charge, half hour of labour? ...i wouldn't have gone for that deal, but that's from knowing that the dealer is always twice the price, and yes, i've paid a lot to honda dealerships over the years

I have no idea what the additional charge would have been, the idea of having somebody else install a battery for me seemed ridiculous.

agree of course, that would be a total waste of money even with the additional warranty,

...on extra cost for extended warranties i have never been sold, too much fine print most of the time and the extra cost kills the price :)
