Obtaining a quote

Hello all, 2ludes here. So my 1990 so all original garaged car was recently backed into by a delivery truck last week. Majority of the damage was to the front driver side bumper, running lights, fog lights, and grill. So my question is, where should I go to get a quote for repairs and to get it back to its beautiful all original look? I am looking for the best of the best due to the fact that it's an insurance claim on their behalf. I am in woodland, Washington so anyone in the PNW have any suggestions or able to due the quotes theirselves? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You will need too source the parts yourself and preferrably a junkyard lude with no front end damage.

None of the parts you seek are available anymore anywhere.
As for where to go to get it looking good again, just do the normal 3 quotes in your local area and go with the best one not the cheapest.

Obviously check out their work.

Well due to the fact that they are paying for it because it was their fault. I was looking at seeing what was available and if there was someone y'all thought would be good for the job. Not my fault that they backed into my parked car in front on my house. Figured it would be difficult to source the parts and one as mint as what I have. I'll post pictures

I do not have any body guys I know that I can refer you too, sorry.
I would just start hitting up some body shops closer to you since you are way down there...

What you do not want to is to have them total that car out which I am sure they will and offer you only $500.

When I got into my wreck in 2011 the insurance only offered $700 because thats what the bluebook stated.

Since this is now a classic, make sure to not let them screw you like they did me...lol

But if you can find a lude with good parts near you, then talk to the body shop you decide to go with about you supplying the parts with the money from the insurance and work out a deal like that.

Find out what the insurance is going to offer you.

Oh and make sure the body shop cleans up all the body lines so that the headlights pop up properly and the hood is not warped etc... our cars are very sensitive to front end damage...

It's all good man. I appreciate the heads up. Fortunately the hood and headlights are alright and straight. It's really just the bumper and accessories on it. Since it was their fault it sounds like they are going to just cut me a check for whatever I can get a quote for plus the cost of towing (told them I'd have to get it towed to a specialist) and other cost it might take to fix it. I can't figure out how to post a picture or I'd show you what the damage looks like.

Here is the process to post pictures:

How to post up pictures you want show:

1. Go to https://imgur.com/ and register(its free)

3. On the upper right corner of the window you will see your username, click on it and then select images. This will take you to your gallary and then select the picture you want to insert.

4.Select "your pictuer and then a sub window will popup and then the links to use for posting on preludepower will be on the right side."

5. Click on "Direct link"(URL) example:

6. Right clik on the highlighted Address(URL) and clik "copy"

7. Now go back to the Post Reply window and clik on the "Insert Image" icon will look like this below.

8. Now just erase whatever is in the address bar, and right clik in the address bar and paste the (URL)Address into the address bar, and clik "OK"

It IS a Classic, and if its in sweet shape, you can PROVE that a 1990 Si 4WS was selling here in Washington for close to $5000, because 1 was down in Auburns Auto row about s 2 months ago. Right now there is a Red one on Craigslist located in Greenwood for $2000. One in Tacoma for $4500, one in Kent for $2500, Gresham, Wa... White Prelude for $3250, delSol Autosales in Everett, a 90 for $4999 and 91 in Bellingham for $4650

DEMAND that they buy you another car or total it out with @ least $2500+ in cash. HOLD FIRM, let 'em sweat if out.... let it turn into a giant hairball in their unclosed cases folder until it stinks to high heaven for them, and make sure their Case Manager understands this. Dont talk to a Dweeb, ask for the Head Dude or Dudette. Get their phone number and let it always go to voice mail, NEVER answer it. Stress to them that there are @ least FIVE available RIGHT NOW on Craigslist, (VERY RARE!), there may not be any around for months, then your price goes up..

Then if it all works out let me know what Wrecking yard your old car is in, cuz I need some parts lol

I'll give that an attempt. If they do total it out if like to buy it back. I do have another one tho, 89 2.0si that I finally blew the motor in (actually I believe just the head gasket) with over 300k on it. Shes been a great car to me. The reason I ended up buying the 90.
