A Dremel will work or a hack saw as long as you have the right type of cutting wheel/blade on the tool. I would not use anything thinner than what he has listed because of the amount of stress you put on the e-brake. The last thing you want happening is that bar to bend out of shape and your e-brake release while you aren't around and on a hill.

I finally did it with a hacksaw! And found some 1/4" L shaped bar that had some holes already in it..so I'll get matching taping screw to go along with it..I'll post some pic once done! And maybe a clear drawing with my dimension and where I put each bolt..could help some people out there

How the hell do you depin the blue connector? I have the "door" open and I'm shoving a small flathead through the top hole, but these pins won't budge.

You have to push the pin with a paperclip and you can also pull from the wire.
