hello everyone, new to the forum. Yes i have tried to search this before posting. So a 2001 prelude is cranking we smell fuel but no spark. checked a few powers and grounds all seem ok and tight. This car was an automatic so someone removed the PCM and removed the resistor so the MIL would stay off We did hook up a small pocket scanner to check codes and found an oxygen sensor fault code. So we decided to clear the code and try to start. Vehicle started and had spark! ran pretty good for a while. then when we shut it down for a while, tried to start again and again no spark.
Cleared code again and boom started again. Moral of the story is the vehicle will not start unless we reset/clear the codes from the PCM
Any help would be greatly appreciated :smile2:
