I have a 1995 with a h22a4 swapped in. In neutral or when the clutch is pressed, it revs fine(has a little hesitation). When in gear it will accelerate to 1500-3000 rpm before power is cut(no response from pedal) and won't allow me to accelerate again until it hits idle. No idle issues, and occasionally it will work like a normal car, but not often.

Been looking all over and haven't found this same issue.

Previous owner replaced distributor cap and rotar, TPS and IACV. Tested alternator and it is working fine. Any help or direction is appreciated

No CEL or codes thrown.

Which trim level is the vehicle? Can you provide the VIN? I suspect that if the original engine was one of the non-VTEC units, the wiring of the swap may not have been done correctly, or the ECU may not be the P13.

I got most of it figured out. Cleaned the MAP sensor and replaced the PCV valve. Only issue left it's lack of power under 3000 RPMs. Engine kind of bogs down when the engine is warm going from a stop.
