DeCarloCalloway01 Best exhaust out there for Prelude's, Fujitsubo all the way

yuri Sorry for digging up an old thread, here's a lil clip I found of mine on my old JDM BB1, with BMC induction kit / cold air feed and decat. (It sounds a bit farty where the kiddy filming put the phone directly infront the pipe but in reality was a bit deeper, but still raspy)

bb6 vtec This exhaust is very restrictive. The piping on this exhaust is only a quarter inch bigger than stock. An ebay ehaust will produce more hp than this. But if its the sound your after, than this exhaust is perfect. .

Check for any exhaust leaks, the instructions say that after you drive 100 miles or so, you should lift the car and check if everything is fine...

it actually should sound quieter, more quiet than stock...

I have a Base. It doesn't stick out much further than the stock tips but it alot bigger so its a bit more noticeable.

realblag I finally got to put my Legalis R catback on the car today. This is my DD so I didn't want anything annoying. It is fantastic! I'm using a Magnaflow direct fit cat, stock header, and the stock airbox. It might be a tiny bit louder than OEM at idle from inside the car. Blipping the throttle makes some wonderful low pitched burbles that you can only get from a large diameter tip. While accelerating, you can hear it up to about 3200-3500 rpm but then the sound from the motor overpowers it. If you had a CIA or short ram, I'm not sure if you would hear it at all. At cruising speeds, it is about the same as stock but has more of a growl. The butt-dyno didn't detect any more power, but with 150k+ miles on the motor this was expected. My only complaint is the connection between the mid-pipe and the tail section hangs kinda low. I'm thinking I can tweek the hanger closest to this area and get it to do better. Overall, I am very pleased with this exhaust.

gblack17 got the same exhaust last month along with a hytech replica header. I'm more active in PZ, but I think i'll start posting on here. As for the exhaust, I love it! very subtle tone, quiet at cruising and daily driving, yet aggressive at WOT.

It hasn't arrived yet. I'll post picks when I get time to put it on, but I warn you now, my bumper is effed. It looks like the previous owner somehow got the exhaust hot enough (or something more idiotic) to melt the oem rear lip and bumper .

Daddy_Danglez Just put it on my 5th gen. Along with an obx high-flow cat. Sounds amazing and its not even broke in yet. Just like I wanted its got a nice quiet tone in town driving but WOT its got some character to it. Beautifully put together looks amazing! I would recommend this exhaust to EVERY prelude out there.

Im seriously thinking about picking one up, but I've never heard it in person, their are very few preludes in st.louis for reference Haha. I mean if you don't mind me shooting you some questions, does it have a nice tone? Like I want an exhaust that I won't ft annoyed with. Ex. Highway drone at 3500.. if it makes sense I want something that sounds pretty close to stock but distinct enough that when I'm WOT its like a different car. Sound wise. Idk this sounds a lot harder than what I'm trying to explain. Haha
