Hey man.. I tried sending direct PM but it wouldnt' let me

I did some searching online about rebuilding my Garrett GTX2867 twin turbo 300zx

    I got mine completely disassembled..
I haven't taken apart the bearing cartridge yet but both compressor and turbine wheel/shaft are apart .

I started doing some searching because I wanted to upgrade the steel ball bearings to Ceramic.. and I came across a post where it referred to you about you ordering bearings from BOCA bearings.. which actually where I was planning on ordering from.

However.. do you happen to recall the size that you ordered? and if you bought ceramic or not. I see where it costs about $14.00 shipped for 100 of them.. but if you bought ceramic.. and you dont mind.. I'd like to buy a few off you..

please get back to me when you get a chance.. I'd really appreciate the help.

I dont get on this forum at all usually..

Could you shoot me a PM so I can reply with my contact info?

    Thank you!
    Shawn

Yeah, I don't like to wrap out the tach much. I do have Wisecos in right now, but I figured I'd just get new ones anyway and sell the ones I have or just give them to my dad for his '89.

Okay, I have a graph posted in my garage, right before the bodywork portion. It know, it's not too impressive, but hey, I'm on Uberdata and stock internals. I'm looking into a Demon controller and NepTune now. Hey, good luck with the turbo build, especially trying to keep the spending down. LOL

Yep, I have charts. I'll post a link when I get home from work. BTW, I have new forged internals and MLS gasket sitting in my office, so those numbers are far from final.

You know it! I have since installed 4ws, power stearing and cruise control. Working on the A/C and considering wire tuck becuase with all that crap its more cramped than when it was stock.

I tried doing that this year. Last year I was having boost controller issues. So I picked up another small spring for my wastegate, which should have put it in and around 17-19psi.

I then went to the dyno with the intentions of doing a new tune using Neptune. Once the car was put on Neptune it would run only 10inches of vacuum, and spit raw fuel out the back. So I then tried to continue using Crome only to find that my car would freeze my tuners computer, or that it wouldn't even datalog.

There is an electrical issue somewhere causing massive interference, and I can't find it. I pulled out my Apex-i AFC and that helped out, and checked all my grounds which were ok.

The valve seals are toast now, and after 5 seasons and 80,000+km's later she is burning a lot of oil, so I decided I will be pulling the motor this winter and replacing the bearings, and doing the rings. In that process I will re-wire the entire harness, add more grounds, and hope for the best.
