Bigger oil Filter

If I remember right someone found a bigger filter for a porshe?? that fit our cars but it was too long so you had to dent in the cap? well sence doing that ruins the filter, I thought I would find one that will fit, and be bigger! The best benefits of a bigger filter would be better filtration and increased filtering capacity! This is the best match i could come up with!

This is stock: Napa gold #1334 or Wix #51334

yeah I posted in that thread and I think it was devin or lucifer caitiff that tried the dented filter. I came up with a mobil one extra capacity by extra wide listed in that thread.

so what does your napa gold cost? I think I payed around $11 or $12 for each filter at I think advance and autozone was higher. I haven't installed it yet. Black Betty rarely gets driven as I some work to do. Thats what I have been working on the last two nights. I am printing out online shopmanual pages rather than going upstairs and photocopying my helms '91 paperback. Found out that the online manual works great on adobe acrobat 9 or so on '90-'91 supplement and you can use the contents to get to what you want while on the '88-89 its just a bunch of files with no titles. Lame.

Got to install my hawk ceramic pads, paint calipers blue, install goodridge brake lines if I buy them. Raise my idle because of teggy 9.75 lb lightweight fly install. Adjust belts because me dumping the clutch and dieing. again the lightweight fly. Install new ps hoses and bleed system and replace with genuine honda fluid. Install new waterneck with autometer water temp electric sensor. Install water temp gauge and oil pressure gauge. Bleed coolant. Recharge battery as haven't driven the lude in over a month. lol May be doing some of this in below 20 farenheit. Oh yeah install my block heater. Install my ac evaporator core box to give direction flow for fan so I have heat and defrost.

Just use the K&N oil filters. They are huge and last 8,000 miles.

Or you can just use the Honda 15400-PCX-004 Filter for an S2K. Its wider like the old Honda filters for our cars

I heard they fit but it's tight. Almost like they are too big. Maybe there is a brand out there that doesn't have a clearance issue, idk. I do know that with a K&N you get what you pay for.

Its not too tight, you heard wrong. Before the K-series and Hybrid Civic came out in 2002/2003 ALL Hondas from 86 forward used that same size filter it was labeled 15400-P0H-505. At that time they created the smaller in diameter and taller 15400-PLM-A01 (or A02...depends on the manufacturer) for the Honda line-up but added the 15400-PCX-004 fot the S2K since it required the larger filtering capacity.

Basically the PCX is the old school filter but is only sold for S2K's. Its what came on your prelude when it was new, it just had a different part number. Honda changes part numbers based on manufacturers, but tries to keep all their filters the same for the entire line up.
