if you happen to know someone who's a painter, they can mix black in with a clear coat, and spray that onto your taillights

way back when I had tinted tails I tinted them using VHT nightshades. You can buy it at advance auto parts or probably some other places

came out pretty nice

Yep..that's what used...Cost about $10 - $12 bucks a can at your local Auto Part Store..Brought mine at O'relly Auto Parts for $10.99

step 1. wet sand it with 1000 grit sand paper to get all the dirt off the taillights
step 2 wet sand with 2000 grit to get it smooth.
step 3. let it dry (Optional, tape the part you don't want to be painted)and spray VHT niteshades on it (about 3 coat for a smoke look) if you want to go darker put 4 coats.
step 4. If you want a grossly look..get some clear coat and spray about 2 coat on it.
step 5. Let it dry about an hr and your done. Do it on calm day though..(no wind, warm sunny day for a perfect look)

That's how i did mine.. my car on the right

i dont like vht night shade, because every time i have seen someone's car with it, it's looks so dry/dull...when done with clear with black mixed in, it's a mirror image...

ALBINO BUDDY is an unknown quantity at this point
Yea dude definitely go with VHT nightshade its amazing stuff. You will need one can of that, a small can of clear coat, and a scotch pad to scruff up your tail lights so the VHT and clear coat stay adhesive to the taillights. And it looks way more professional. I recommend two coats of night shade and two coats of clear coat. GOOD LUCK

yeah im not a huge fan of that nightshade stuff... its so dull and flat black looking. Dulls the car down a bit.

As long as you prep and spray correctly it comes out fine. Did mine with just VHT no clear coat and it came out great.

Imo, you should do the amber delete in the turn signals. That would look good i think.

its a pain to take the taillights apart..otherwise i'll do it. If i have money i'll just get some red/clear taillights off ebay and go that route if i want to amber out the signal..

I thought you could you take the bulb out and go in that way and break the amber part up and take it out?

Any tint shop should just be able to apply some tint film to them. VHT almost always comes out with that orange peel nonsense.

Never thought of mixing black & clear and using an actual spraygun though... hrm.
