Anyone ever seen this before?

My town recently built a new library. - We didn't need one. We already had a clean, mid sized, well running library. Buuuut, I suppose we just had to bull-doze three houses and increase taxes for this awesome new library. ... That isn't even open on weekends. It's great.

Anyway, yesterday, I needed to go to this library to get six or seven sources for my research paper.. Only to find the library isn't open on a Saturday afternoon, (you know, when kids aren't doing sports and actually have time to use the library). What's the point of having one then?

This is what topped off my anger when i tried to find a parking spot.. In a completely empty parking lot:

- Has anyone ever seen that? haha. .. These signs took up 25% of the parking lot. So, basically, the first 8-12 parking lanes can't really be used, because hardly anyone drives a purely efficient car, (based on what I've seen).

Fuel efficiency is relative, right?

Your Prelude is more fuel-efficient than a turbomax diesel truck, right?

Yea we have those signs up at a new mall that went up. It's a pretty vague sign, what's defined as fuel efficient? I park my lude in those spots all the time and never get a ticket, if they wanted hybrid only parkingm the sign would read parking for hybrids only. Corvettes get 25mpg higway that's pretty efficient.

Ya i pulled up to a star bucks with my girlfriend and a cop was sitting in the stall for efficient vehicles in his crown vic. when i got out of the lude i just looked over at him and laughed and joked that he had a hybrid. I then pointed out i had an electric prelude. Then i got into a conversation with him about how useless those signs are cause if people actually listen, those spots are wasted somewhat like handicap spots they will always be empty.

Things to remember - those signs aren't like handicap parking. There's no law on the books about them anywhere in this country (That I've heard of) so you can actually ignore them if you want, you can't be fined for it.

It's like if you put up a "Prelude parking only" sign. Completely made up...

If they say anything tell them your car get's 70mpg. HOW are they supposed to know if your bullshitting or not?

At the mall in my town they have expecting mother parking only..... how do they know once your car is parked whether you are pregnant or not? Just park there, life will continue haha
