Angry Tire wear on the driver side

Okay so yesterday on my way to lunch my tire just went flat, I looked at the tire and it looked fine, no holes or slashes no sign of nails either. I finally reached into the back of the tire and noticed that the tire was worn and eventually cut all around the inside. I paid 120$ for a fuckin kumo 215 40. im still pretty pissed, but alteast its fixed for now. So my question is where the fuck should i start on correcting the problem! I have stock shocks, tein springs, ive had them on for a while now, maybe 30,000 miles. should i get rid of the tien? buy something better? or just go back to stock? its only the driver side tire that wears out in the inside.

If you did not have an alignment done after you installed the teins...THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!

Any time you lower a car you mess with the alignment and bad toe alignment is the cause of most bad tire wear issues.

Get it aligned again. Alignment isn't a 1-time thing. It's part of regular maintenance. FYI, so is rotating the tires.

The suspension on the Prelude is designed to change its alignment as the springs compress . Getting the alignment to work right after installing aftermarket springs is a difficult task which I guess will require a lot of hit and miss adjustments and a lot of tire purchases . A look at my tires with 10,000 miles on them on my stock lude may make you want to go back to stock springs . Because my tire wear is so good I can afford to buy a $700 set of Michelin Pilot Exalto Pe2 tires that really preform . If I had uncorrectable tire wear problems I would have to do like you and go out and buy some of those cheap Korean tires like you have .

Sounds like failure to maintain your suspension, or something is physically wrong with the suspension.

So before I can give you any kind of conclusion or solution, I would require more data. Which tire was this? RF, LF, RR, LR? How are the other three tires? Check all sides. Are you positive the tire wasn't going low and you were driving on the sidewalls for a while? Stuff like that.

That is an outstanding mistake if it was.

Typically in the situation where 1 specific position (LF in this case) constantly gets uneven tire wear, the cause is a malfunction in the suspension. Possibilities are a bad alignment, bent arm, bad bushing, etc.

A camber kit is like cutting off your foot because you have an ingrown toenail.
